A Quick History of Nate Richardson, Editor of

RELIGION: I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Membership in that church has lead to many blessings in my life. I was raised in the church, but it wasn’t until I read The Book of Mormon for the first time in my late teens that my life was changed forever, and I launched into a life of devoted faith in Jesus Christ. I write to latter-day saints to together ponder God’s expectations and remember His promised blessings. I served a mission in the Atlanta area in English and Spanish, where I taught many people and  learned more of the Protestant & Catholic faiths.

FAMILY: My philosophy, my psychology, my hope, my happiness, all revolves around my opportunity to have an eternal family, and the person who makes that possible, Jesus Christ. A family centered life is a Christ centered life, and leads to eternal joy! I very much enjoy studying how to strengthen families. I’ve been blessed to be a foster parent for the past 3 years and have had many rewarding and insightful experiences doing that. My wife and I homeschool our children, and believe this is an amazing way of creating family happiness. We also believe that creating a home environment where many siblings can tutor each other and grow together is a key to optimal human development.

WORK: I’ve worked on several construction crews primarily in wood framing and concrete. I ran a small pest control business. I’ve worked at several residential treatment centers for youth struggling with addiction and behavioral issues. I’ve worked at the Utah State Hospital for the mentally ill. I’ve worked in nursing homes as a CNA, and elsewhere as an EMT/security guard. I’m currently working on a degree to work as an RN.

EDUCATION: I have a Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University in Family Life with a minor in Biblical Hebrew. I also enjoyed studying various languages, physical sciences, and literature in my 5 years there.
