Our spiritual foundation must be in tact before giving one word of advice on these matters. Common sense used to govern us in these fields, but today there exists a particular need to speak out on what used to be obvious. Some personal experiences that have helped shape my views on these topics include years of service a foster parent, homeschool parent, professional school teacher, and missionary service in the homes of many.
