Scriptural Theme of Christ’s Return in 2 ‘Days’ (editing)
You’re going to like the analysis of some parables of Jesus that show the time of the second coming here.
This study is important because, if nothing else, it demonstrates that there are hidden layers of meaning in the scriptures available to those who seek and believe.
It also demonstrates that the end times have always been in God’s mind, and are woven throughout the scriptures.

SETTING THE STAGE: THE WEEK OF EARTH
-D&C says earth has a 7,000-year lifespan. See D&C 77:6-7, 12:
6 Q. What are we to understand by the book which John saw, which was sealed on the back with seven seals? A. We are to understand that it contains the revealed will, mysteries, and the works of God; the hidden things of his economy concerning this earth during the seven thousand years of its continuance, or its temporal existence. 7 Q. What are we to understand by the seven seals with which it was sealed? A. We are to understand that the first seal contains the things of the first thousand years, and the second also of the second thousand years, and so on until the seventh. 12 “Q. What are we to understand by the sounding of the trumpets, mentioned in the 8th chapter of Revelation? A. We are to understand that as God made the world in six days, and on the seventh day he finished his work, and sanctified it, and also formed man out of the dust of the earth, even so, in the beginning of the seventh thousand years will the Lord God sanctify the earth, and complete the salvation of man, and judge all things, and shall redeem all things, except that which he hath not put into his power, when he shall have sealed all things, unto the end of all things; and the sounding of the trumpets of the seven angels are the preparing and finishing of his work, in the beginning of the seventh thousand years—the preparing of the way before the time of his coming.”
-1 day to God is 1,000 years to man. (JST 2 Peter 3:8; Facs. 2 Fig. 1; Abr. 3:6-11)
Here is JST 2 Peter 3:8 about 1-day equaling 1000 years:
“8 But concerning the coming of the Lord, beloved, I would not have you ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
Here we have Facsimile 2 Figure 1 telling plainly that God’s time is 1000 of our years for one of his days:
“Fig. 1. Kolob, signifying the first creation, nearest to the celestial, or the residence of God. First in government, the last pertaining to the measurement of time. The measurement according to celestial time, which celestial time signifies one day to a cubit. One day in Kolob is equal to a thousand years according to the measurement of this earth, which is called by the Egyptians Jah-oh-eh.”
Here we have Abraham 3:4-11 about the time on Kolob being a 1:1000 ratio, Kolob being the Lord’s time for creation, etc.
“4 And the Lord said unto me, by the Urim and Thummim, that Kolob was after the manner of the Lord, according to its times and seasons in the revolutions thereof; that one revolution was a day unto the Lord, after his manner of reckoning, it being one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou standest. This is the reckoning of the Lord’s time, according to the reckoning of Kolob. 5 And the Lord said unto me: The planet which is the lesser light, lesser than that which is to rule the day, even the night, is above or greater than that upon which thou standest in point of reckoning, for it moveth in order more slow; this is in order because it standeth above the earth upon which thou standest, therefore the reckoning of its time is not so many as to its number of days, and of months, and of years. 6 And the Lord said unto me: Now, Abraham, these two facts exist, behold thine eyes see it; it is given unto thee to know the times of reckoning, and the set time, yea, the set time of the earth upon which thou standest, and the set time of the greater light which is set to rule the day, and the set time of the lesser light which is set to rule the night. 7 Now the set time of the lesser light is a longer time as to its reckoning than the reckoning of the time of the earth upon which thou standest. 8 And where these two facts exist, there shall be another fact above them, that is, there shall be another planet whose reckoning of time shall be longer still; 9 And thus there shall be the reckoning of the time of one planet above another, until thou come nigh unto Kolob, which Kolob is after the reckoning of the Lord’s time; which Kolob is set nigh unto the throne of God, to govern all those planets which belong to the same order as that upon which thou standest. 10 And it is given unto thee to know the set time of all the stars that are set to give light, until thou come near unto the throne of God. 11 Thus I, Abraham, talked with the Lord, face to face, as one man talketh with another; and he told me of the works which his hands had made;”
Also note how Adam was told he would surely die the day he partook of the fruit, and he lived to be in the 900’s before he died. This is another evidence for God’s Day being 1000 of our years.
-A common symbol in scripture is that each 1,000-year period is a day, making a week in total, 7 days. The week of earth’s time is often divided as follows:
The first 4000 years before Christ. It’s 4 days.
The next 2000 years after Christ. It’s 2 days.
The final 1000 years of Christ’s millennial reign. It’s 1 day.
-We will see throughout scripture the symbols of these 7 days used in such a way as to indicate that Christ’s Second Coming will be 2 days (2000 years) after he left from his first coming.

This is but one example of how it is not uncommon knowledge in the Christian world that Christ’s return will be about 2,000 years after his first coming.
DON’T FRET
-Elder Featherstone predicted that the Lord’s return would happen by 2033.
-The church says no official position about a lot of different topics. It means they’re not as pertinent to your salvation but you can still figure it out if you have ears to hear and eyes to see. Let’s not be so timid about the time of the Lord’s return. Many scriptures tell us God wants this information he wants us to study and find all this.
-No, we aren’t pinning down the day nor the hour here. But we are using scriptures to find parables. Scriptures say this will be a time in history of great knowledge.
-Joseph Smith said Christ wasn’t talking about no people ever being able to know when Christ comes, Joseph clarified Christ was talking about people at that time, because the scriptures are clear that people will know this stuff. Amos 3:7 God will at least tell his prophet. And look at the type of things President Nelson is saying, he’s trying to teach us that it’s close.
President Nelson said one of the most important parts of gathering Israel is to prepare people who are ready to receive Christ when he comes. April we’re ready to receive the savior. He called us to be those people. And he said time is running out.
PARABLES PART 1: NEW TESTAMENT
LAZARUS
John 11:3-15
3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judæa again.
8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
Analysis:
-It specifies that Jesus loved Mary Martha and Lazarus. There’s the 3.
-Christ heard Lazarus was sick. Sick means sinful, persecuted, etc. This is our condition as we wait for Christ to return.
-Christ was in Gentile territory and waited there 2 days before going to Lazarus. This is like the gospel going to the Gentiles for 2000 years before Christ comes for Israel.
-The 3rd day is when Christ raises Lazarus. This is like the morning of the resurrection in the millennium, which can be called the 3rd day, based on 2 days being from the amount of time Christ was gone.
-When Christ speaks of walking in day vs night, that may have to do with repenting in life, vs being wicked, having no light in you, being doomed to hell. People who repent before Christ’s return have demonstrated good will, and will not be destroyed at His return.
THE GOOD SAMARITAN
Luke 10:30-35
30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Analysis:
-A certain man is involved, it doesn’t say which man. It represents Adam, and all of us.
-Jerusalem is on a mountain. Samarita is down low.
-The man is going from up high to down low, it is the fall. It says he fell. He fell among thieves, they stripped him of his clothes, makes him naked. They left him half dead. It’s incomplete death.
-The priest and Levite represent pre and post-flood.
-The good Samaritan represents Christ. Jesus uses the oil and the wine representing Christ’s blood.
-He gives the innkeeper two pence to care for the man until he returns. One pence was for one day’s wages so, he would coming back in 2 days. This is Christ returning 2000 years after he left, around 2033.
-Additional parallels on this topic can surely be drawn from more of the chapter, etc.
PETER
When Peter denies Christ before the cock crows twice this is a symbol of those who do not repent how they have to spend the millennium repenting.
CHRIST’S RESURRECTION
Christ rose on the third day that represents us rising in the millennium.
Two angels roll away the stone for the resurrection of Christ. This is another type of 2,000 years until the return of Christ.
PARABLES PART 2: OLD TESTAMENT
LORD DESCENDS MT. SINAI
Exodus 19:1-2, 10-11, 13-20
1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
10 ¶ And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
14 ¶ And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
15 And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.
16 ¶ And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
20 And the Lord came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the Lord called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
Analysis:
-v1 It’s the 3rd month.
-v11 The Lord comes down in the 3rd day. This relates to the 3rd day when Christ comes, as the 2 days were the time we waited for him, and he comes on the morning of the 3rd day.
-v2 The saints are camping in a wilderness before the mount. This could refer to the saints being in the wilderness camps in the last days, near the mount, or temples.
-v10 we must cleanse ourselves for this event of Christ’s return.
-v18 the Lord descends with fire, like a furnace. The second coming is in fire. And furnaces refine, we read that his coming will be as a refiners fire. This is all clearly a type of the Second Coming!
-The Lord’s descent from the mount is like Jesus coming down from heaven at the second coming, and it’s the third day in the morning, and so the two days is the time between jesus’s ministry and the way he comes again, so the morning of the third day this is the morning of the Resurrection trumpets sound long and loud.
JONAH
Jonah you get 3 days and three nights. This is longer than the 2 days, and rising on the morning of the 3rd day.
We also get another place in Alma where it talks about a full three days.
We’re not really done until the end of the third day, the millennium is a time to accomplish great works.
PARABLES PART 3: BOOK OF MORMON
CHURCH OF THE LAST DAYS
You also have the number two in the church being formed 1830 and it having about 200 years up till 2030. This could be when the Church of the Firstborn commences, the 7th seal opens (on this complete level), the 144,000 are called and sent forth for the final ~3 year gathering, etc.
NEPHI GETS PLATES
Three attempts after 3 days Nephi gets the plates. The sword falls upon the wicked leaving at that time.
MEASURES OF LEAVEN & STONE FILLS EARTH
The kingdom of heaven was like unto leaven three measures were hid into it.
Also
Same with the stone cut out of the mountain that fills the Earth. This is accomplished at the beginning of the third day or the beginning of the millennium.
KING LAMONI
There were two days and two nights that King lamoni appeared dead and they said on the morrow he will rise. That would be the morning of the third day.
ALMA
When Alma was out they fasted and prayed for 2 days and on the third day he woke up.
The two days is about repenting that’s what they’re doing in these stories. That’s the time we have to repent.
JUBILEES
40 jubilees is 2,000 years it’s the amount of time that Christ is not going to be with them. We see in the scriptures this 40 day fast as a symbol of this.
Christ comes back 2,000 years after he left.
God writes his literature in patterns which we can detect once we get in the habit of seeing it.
BOOK OF MORMON WAR
Book of Mormon the morning of the third day in the 7th month they halted their army. The third day is the seventh day when you’re measuring from how far away from when Christ left. They didn’t pursue us far until they halted. This is a symbol of how the trials of the last days will be hard but they will be cut short for us.
The seven also indicates the completion of the work the completion of time of the world.
AMMON
Book of Mormon people ammon? They wandered 40 days in the wilderness. This is the 2,000 years as in the 40 jubilees before Christ is coming. Eminem and his brother and as in three people representing the godhead. They go down.The experience 2 Days in prison and on the third day they are brought before the king. We are in prison waiting for our King for 2,000 years like how they waited 2 days. They had to answer the question the king asked them, it’s like the judgment where we have to answer to God.
HOSEA
After 2 days will he revive us in the third day he will raise us up
NEPHITE MONEY
124 and then seven. These are the measures of grain in the Book of Mormon.
One is the millennium the 1,000 years.
Who is the 2,000 years between the millennium and Christ’s first coming.
Or is the first 4,000 years before his coming.
And seven for the full 7,000 years.
And it says the l i m n a h is equal to them all. The seven encompasses it all.
WOMAN AT THE WELL
The woman at the well had five husbands and the one she is currently with is not her husband. The sixth husband represented the sixth day the 7th husband would represent marriage to the bridegroom Christ. The 6th is not her husband it symbolizes the church bride without her groom. This is us we are waiting for Jesus and we are in day 6 the 6th millennium.
The woman at the well is of Samaria a gentile place. He stays there for 2 days. 2 days with the gentiles. Symbolic of the 2000 years that the gospel is going to the gentiles. When the time of the gentiles is fulfilled he’s going to come back.
He tells the woman at the well he is the Messiah right before he spends the two days tothe gentiles. Then he spends 2 days with the gentiles then he goes back to Galilee in the promised Land to the Israelites. When Jesus returns it will be to give us the promised Land.
This is where he finds a man with a son who is sick and on the 7th hour the fever left him. This is when Christ comes to heal and save us.
JOSHUA
Joshua tells Israel when you see the ark of the covenant you have to follow it and there will be a space between you and it of 2,000 cubits. They are going across the river into the promised Land. The ark goes first. The ark is a symbol of Christ. We follow Christ. We see him come at his mortal ministry and we follow him. 2,000 years later we get to the promised land at his return.
ABRAHAM
Book of Abraham one cubit equates to 1 day. Joshua story, 2000 cubits.
Many scriptures have the 1 2 4 and 7.
AMMON
Ammon had been in the service of the king for 3 days, the phlox were attacked on the third day. This is the beginning of the millennium. Detailed six of them with the sling. Many arms were cut off but only one was killed with the sword. 6 by sling one by sword. The sword is the weapon John says Christ comes with. It’s a double edged sword coming from his mouth not a literal sword. The sword is the gospel you’re supposed to use it to judge right from wrong and it’s used to judge you. At the second time cleanse is the world by the word just like how he created the world by the word.
The 7th was their leader, and the leader of evil is the one who was killed on the seventh day.
Compare this with David & Golliath.
DAVID & GOLLIATH
The sling and stones symbol is also used in David and goliath. Goliath taunted Israel for 40 days. 40 in 50 year jubilees is 2,000 years. Satan taunts God’s people for 2000 years then David comes and slice him. Enjoy tradition there are five stones and they represent the five books of the Torah. The stones are smooth from running living water in the brook.
It uses David uses one stone to hit Goliath in the forehead then he uses glass sword and cut his head off.
And both Goliath and Laban they are killed with their own sword. It’s like the righteous using their words against them the double-edged sword of the Gospel.
WATCHES OF THE NIGHT
There are four watches in the night. Each is 3 hours long making 12 hours.
The first watch starts at 6:00 and goes to 9:00. The second watch starts at 9:00 and goes to midnight. The bridegroom comes at midnight which is the beginning of the third watch. It is 6 hours in at the beginning of the third watch.
Niece I says people don’t get it when it comes to the writing of the Jews and this is part of why, people don’t look for the symbols and messages that are built into this type of writing.
The 2000th anniversary of the atonement will be here around 2033.

Why would numbers in the scriptures matter for other things but not for the timeline of how long we’ve been here? Not for the creation? I’m my name is going to be a thousand years not a million years etc.
Several liters of pot such as Joseph Fielding Smith Bruce McConkey etc that drain the millennium the Saints will not be here the whole time but those you have lived celestial will be operating on a larger scale.
JESUS’ MINISTRY
Just as Christ’s ministry was 30-33 ad, so will the ministry of the 144,000 likely be 2030 – 2033.
(Or it could be 2031-2034, particularly if that’s a more accurate time of Christ’s mortal ministry being 31 through 34.)
