This book establishes that Joseph Smith initiated and taught plural marriage, as required by the Lord for a period of time in this dispensation.
It demonstrates that the temple ordinances are required for salvation in the kingdom of God.
It demonstrates that Brigham Young was the only rightful legal heir to continue the work of the kingdom of God, and that he did so with inspiration and righteousness. Brigham carried on the teachings and work of Joseph Smith.
