Hop Aboard the Freedom Train!

This train is going to the places you want to be! Tired of the government punishing you for being productive? Want to see how it would work for a truly free society to operate without big government? You’re in the right place. Ayn Rand’s freedom writings have had a legendary effect in building the conservative movement.

Throughout my notes highlighting some of Rand’s best writings including Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead, I add commentary giving conservative and religious perspectives which enthrone and balance the ‘objectivist’ writings of Rand. I also include several topical essays pinpointing similarities and differences between the views of Rand, Christendom, and the Latter-day Saints in particular. From the Fall of Adam, to the value of the human body, to the majesty of man, Rand’s messages are often very similar to teachings of the restoration, and many of Rand’s critiques of religion are shared with and corrected by messages of the restored gospel.

There will always be a few places great thinkers will disagree on things, and I point that out throughout these messages, but the fact remains that Rand taught many principles of freedom in powerfully persuasive ways that should not be forgotten.

God is the author of freedom. Moses called for a proclamation of liberty throughout the land (Lev. 25:10). The spirit of freedom is also the spirit of Christ (2 Cor. 3:17, James 1:25, Rom. 8:21, Alma 61:15, 3 Ne. 21:4). Rand’s writings show what it really means to be honest, to work hard, to treat others fairly, and to contribute to the community. Many socialist ideas are exposed with pinpoint accuracy as we see their ultimate effect to be evil and destructive to society.

If you haven’t explored Rand’s freedom writings, want to remember some of her greatest messages, or wonder how her teachings align with a conservative and religious worldview, this book will be a welcome study never to be forgotten.
