How Beautiful are the Feet
of them who publish good tidings.
This refers to messengers of the gospel. Possible meanings for the use of this analogy are as follows:
-When a messenger from afar comes running with good news, you’re happy to see him, even his dirty feet are beautiful to you. Their message is so blessed that we would even kiss their feet, which is a sign of utmost gratitude anciently.
-Jesus washed feet of his disciples, and the washing of the feet is an ordinance connected to exaltation (for more information on this read my article of quotes on the subject titled The Church of the Firstborn). Therefore we could conclude that the beautiful feet suggests that they have been symbolically washed by Jesus, and that those who carry the gospel message to others have their calling and election made sure. Another evidence for this interpretation is in 3 Ne. 28:10 wherein Jesus says this to the disciples who chose to do missionary work, “And for this cause ye shall have fulness of joy; and ye shall sit down in the kingdom of my Father; yea, your joy shall be full, even as the Father hath given me fulness of joy; and ye shall be even as I am, and I am even as the Father; and the Father and I are one”
